Summer Festival begins on 21st May 2016

This year's 120th Flower Show and 58th Fruit show will be held in honour of the Summer festival at Nilgiri District.The date has been announced.The Fruit show will be held on 21st and 22nd May at Coonoor Sim's Park and Flower Show on 27th May to 29th May at Ooty Botanical Garden.

There are 194 different flowers such as oriental lily, Dythoniya, Doriniya, Lobelia, 35 types of Delia, Inca Marigold, Biconia, Canduduft, Delbeeniyam, French Marrriegold, Lisiyanthus, Fancy, Bettuniya, Blacks, Pirimula, Renenculous, Cyclamun, Stack, Gale ,Sinereriya, Verbina, Halihak, sunflower, antirynam, Asiatic Lilly and Viola will be displayed for the Public,which is a special feature of this event of this year.

The Rose Show and Vegetable show have been canceled for this year.In addition to this the preparation also have been made to stack 15,000 multicolored flowers at Flower Show Hall.These preparations have been done inorder for the tourists t enjoy the flower show and to get a benefit from it.
