Coonoor Sim's Park is one of the important Tourist destination in Nilgiri District.There are oldest trees present in this garden.These trees were brought from different countries of the world, which are very helpful for the botany students.The tree called ruthratchai is more special than other trees, which is called as "Divine Tree" by the staffs of this park.The staffs are not wearing footwear near to this tree.

In 1905, this Ruthratchai tree brought from North India and had been planted in this park.Every year this tree starts bearing fruit in the month of January and begin to ripening in February.Now, this tree starts bearing fruit, it is expected that will ripen at the second week of February.
