World Elephant Day celeberated at Mudumalai in Theppakadu

     Based on the World Elephant Day in Mudumalai, Theppakadu the special dishes were given to the elephants. The tourist who were at that place enjoyed that mesmerizing moment.
 
      World Elephant day ceremony was celebrated yesterday in Mudumalai theppakadu, the Nilgiri District. Mudumalai Tiger reserve Deputy Field Director, inaugrated the festival.

      Earlier all the elephants took bath in the Mayar river and then they were brought to the Theppakadu. All the elephants were lined up there.

Pongal, Cane
      Rice, Sweet pongal, millet, sugarcane, coconuts, sugar, banana, nutritional tablets were provided to the elephants.The tourist and the school students who were at that place enjoyed that mesmerizing moment.
 
      Then about the elephant and how to maintain the elephant lecture was given to the Nanatas by Deputy Field director Chandiran and Doctor Vijayaragavan.

      Mudumailai Tiger Reserve forest staff Gnanadas, Theppakadu forest staff Arockiasamy, Karkudi forest staff Kandhan, Masinagudi forest staff Sadaiyappan then all forest department staff showed theri presence in this ceremony.

      Forests and forest creature Nilgiris and Coonoor Nature Protection Foundation on behalf of the World Elephant Day ceremony was celebrated at a private school. For this ceremony school Principal Periyasaamy inaugrated the show. The Coonoor forest staff Siva, forest staff Bhaskar, the Principal Parkash, Sadiq Foundation founder, took the lead member in this ceremony.

      The elephant mask was given to the school  students. Then pledge was taken to protect the elephants by all. The short film about elephants types and action aboot elephants was shown to the school children.
