Horticulture people said ,"There are more varieties of medicinal value fruits at the wild of the Nilgiri District.But the public is not aware of this fruit. Goa fruit and Passion Fruit also called as Vaal kurattai contains high vitamin A and C content.

The Diabetics can be controlled by eating these fruits.Commonly these fruits can be found at all the places of Nilgiri Forests.The people who are aware of this fruits not only eating the fruit but also selling to others.In Recent days this fruit has become one of the most available fruit for the animals and Birds."
