The preparation works of Ooty Botanical Garden for the upcoming flower show is underway.

The flower exhibition will be held in the second week of May month.The tourists from other state and other country used to visit Ooty Botanical Garden in May month.The garden preparation works have been started for the upcoming flower show  which will be held on May 2017.Currently, seed collecting and sowing works have been started. Few flower plants where the flowers will bloom after six months such as Benseeniam and Bettuniam were planted at Botanical Garden.The old flower plants removal works have also been launched here.

The Associate Director Mr Mani said that the production of Flower plants which will bloom once in 6 months has been started at Botanical Garden.Currently, the seedling production works been carrying out at the nursery of this garden.After this seed sowing works will be started depending on the blooming period of flowers.The seed collecting work of the plants including Marigold, Salvia, Bettuniam, Portluka and Delphinium are going on now. The seed collections and Sowing works will be held until February month.Similarly, the soil filling of 15 thousand flower pots is also going to be started in few days.
