Mudumalai forest turns into green

There was a severe drought for the last three months in Mudumalai Forest Area. There was a shortage of food and water for wild animals due to drought. The wild animals have entered the lands and damaged the crops while in searching of water. The farmers and civilians were affected by all sides. Since there was a frequent summer rain poured in Mudumalai which reduces the summer heat and glowing climate prevailed in this place. Also, south-west monsoon rain started at Nilgiri District which makes the farmers happy.

The gudalore forest area turned into green due to rain. During summer season only elephants have been spotting near the roadside in Mudumalai. But now other wild animals including deer also spotted at the roadside of Mudumalai. The tourists also enjoy visiting this wildlife area. The wildlife officials have also advised the tourists to visit the wildlife animals without disturbing them.

The forest department people said," There is a south-west monsoon rain in Mudumalai and its surrounding areas. The water flow also increased in all the water resource. Since the forest has returned to Green there also increase in arrival of wild animals to the forest. The animals including Deer and Bisons are spotting more in the forest. The tourist people are asked not to trouble the animals which stand on the road side. The action will be taken if they do so, the forest officials added."
