Fire crackers has been banned at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve area

Mudumalai Tiger Reserve is placed in Nilgiri District. It is situated at the state border of Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka. This sanctuary spreads over an area of 321 sq. cm. It consists of wildlife animals including tiger, leopard, gaur, deer and bear, Different species of birds and Sandalwood and Pike trees.

 

Currently, there is a drought in this area. As few days remaining for Diwali, so Cracker Blast has been banned for the villagers who are living close to this forest reserve area. Few of the dangerous crackers including Rocket blast has been banned at the places such as Bokkapuram, Vazhaithottam, Singara and Kallatty. By considering Diwali, vehicle inspection has been carried out at Kallhatty.

 

This action has been taken by considering Wildlife animal protection and to avoid forest fires."Serious actions will be taken if anyone disobeyed the orders", District forest officer Mr Kalanidhi said.
