Coonoor Railway Track renovation works; Sleeper Bars fitting works are in process.

Coonoor-Mettupalayam mountain railway track was set on a British rule.There are 20 small bridges and 10 large bridges present in this track.The Sleeper Bars on this railway track was damaged.The southern railway administration has taken a decision to do the replacement of the damaged sleeper bars into a new one.In the first phase, the old wooden sleeper bars of 20 small bridges has replaced with a new Cement bars.The required goods have arrived at Kattery in Coonoor through Goods Rail in order to do the rest of the work.

This works will be completed within few days.The Railway Staffs said,"The sleeper bar fitting works are carrying out at all the bridges between Coonoor to Mettupalayam railway track. The works will be ended within the summer season. So there will not be any problems for the tourists during summer season."
