Numerous vehicles hit the tourist destination-Ooty every day, as thousands of tourists from local and outstation visit Ooty. Due to the lack of adequate parking lot in Ooty, many tourists and public leave their vehicle on the sides of the road.

Tourists and public have demanded the police department and district administration of Ooty, to take appropriate action to ease the traffic congestion and vehicle parking problem in Ooty. The public also demanded the district administration to set up adequate parking lots to the tourist's vehicle, to improve the road safety in Ooty and to ensure the comfort of tourists.
