Mukurithi is a beautiful place. One can travel all the way to Upper Bhavani reservoir and have a look at the peak. Trekking requires special permissions from the forest authority. Overall charming place and worth to visit.

The Mukurthi dam is placed in the National Park area and therefore access to this place requires prior permission of the forest department. The dam itself gives a beautiful view of the hills. The place is very peaceful and all in all, it was a lovely experience.

Best trekking place in Ooty. You need to get prior permission from forest department for trekking. If you want accommodation for one night in that place there is a small bungalow called fishing hut. It has to be cleaned before you go there and for self-cooking, you need to buy groceries, firewood for cooking. From Mukurthi national park it takes around 3.5 hours to reach the fishing hut. At the foot of the Mukurthi hill, there is a dam. It is a cool place for trek lovers. But it's difficult to get the permission.
